We are preparing the photo exhibition “Bring Life Back to Rivers”
As part of the LIFE2RIVERS project, we are preparing a travelling photo exhibition titled “Bring Life Back to Rivers”, with which we aim to encourage people to treat rivers more responsibly. The exhibition seeks to showcase the beauty of Slovenia’s rivers, highlight their importance for nature conservation and human well‑being, and draw attention to some of the misguided approaches in river management.
The exhibition will be premiered in January 2027 at the Jakopič Promenade in Tivoli Park, Ljubljana, and will later travel to other locations across Slovenia.
Since the exhibition is built around exceptional photographs of Slovenian rivers, we invite all amateur and professional photographers to contribute their work. We are looking for photographs that depict:

- Rivers in all seasons: the diversity of landscapes, habitats, and river details above water, underwater, and along the riverbanks.
- Life in the river: in the water, on the water, and by the water (plants, animals, and other organisms).
- People and rivers: water use, river tourism, leisure activities by or on rivers, and the cultural significance of rivers.
Selected photographs will be included in the exhibition, and authors will receive a fee of 50 € gross for each selected photograph.
We are collecting submissions until 30 September 2026.
